fall family sessions in the Hudson Valley

We’re in the final month of summer, and I’m already starting to look ahead to fall.

The fall season in the Hudson Valley is unmatched. The changing leaves are absolutely stunning (and depending on the storms, can be very short lived some seasons!). And there’s no shortage of harvest events and apple picking, pumpkin everything, farmers markets, etc. I absolutely love the fall. If I could live inside one month forever, it would be October (late October 🖤🖤🖤)

And so it makes sense that fall is my busiest season for family sessions.

Depending on the ages of your kids, I typically like to start in the home. For longer sessions, I like to be there through the morning routine (waking up, breakfast, teeth brushing) and into your plans for the day. I’ll tag along to whatever events your family planned for the day. We’ll take 15 - 20 minutes for some lifestyle - posed images outdoors, but the session is primarily documentary and candid images of your family living life. There’s so many little moments that happen during a typical day.

Documentary family sessions are about celebrating your family and the life you’ve built, and will remind your kids of so many little details about their childhood in 30 years.
